We believe that art plays a major role in individual and collective well being in interesting times like these right now, namely the global pandemic affecting all our lives. Cultural exchange, communication of any kind but especially the one mitigated by art has astonishing beneficial effects on human mind, it improves our mood, brings intellectual pleasure or spiritual joy and most importantly it brings HOPE.
We strongly believe that encouraging and promoting emerging artists and designers, especially FEMALE ARTISTS, can bring great benefits to the variety of the cultural landscape on both national and international level.
Romania has always brought an important contribution to the world's art heritage through famous painters, sculptors, musicians, architects, writers and other artists that have brought their contribution in shaping the strong European culture's fame and glory, acknowledged worldwide as the main cradle of the artistic expression.
But most of our internationally renown artists like Brancusi or Enesco had the extraordinary chance to be noticed and promoted by benefactors, patrons, galleries and social elites. In a world where art is performed widely both as a hobby and as a profession by millions of people, it is hard to market yourself in the beginning of the artistic career, to reach a significant public, to GET NOTICED.
This is where JUXTA FOUNDATION is working to make a difference by promoting emergent artists and designers of great potential, with a special preoccupation on female artists careers.
